Hi Suzanne, Just a quick email to say thank you so much for the gorgeous birthday cake you made for Olivia’s 1st birthday.
Not only did it look great, it tasted fab too and went down a storm.
I have recommended you to everyone who asked where it came from, and I will not hesitate to contact you again in the future when I need another cake. Many thanks again. Joanne
Hi Suzanne, just to thank you once again for the beautiful 40th birthday cake you made for my son. You turned my request for a cake that was something to do with racing cars and that his favourite driver was David Coulthard – into not only a cake that he loved, but one that everyone thought looked great and what’s more tasted absolutely delicious, thank you so much for all the thought and work you put into it.
All the very best, Ursula
What can I say …. What a Cake!!
James was really touched aswell as amused—wish you’d been there. Thank you so much for making James’ 21st Cake.
Mary.

A very good friend of mine wrote me a poem about the business—
I was so impressed I just had to share it with you … Thank you Dave!
Icing on the cake
Before we start is your kitchen spick and span?
Are your ingredients ready, cook book poised, is everything to plan?
Is your butter handy, or if you prefer, where did you put that marg’?
After all get it wrong and you will be first little, then large
Are the measures made, everything now just to weigh?
Come on it’s time for your first act, and this is your finest stage.
Get that icing spun and those eggs fairly beaten
Get that sugar ready – just enough to sweeten
Throw in the butter and mix it to a fair degree
Time for a break, go on, let’s have a nice cup of tea
Stiffen up the mix with a liberal dose of flour
In the tin and bake it let’s say gas regulo 8 for an hour
Let it cool and then begin the fill
You’ve done it so many times I think you know the drill
On to the outside with icing and whatever you choose
You know the end result will be worth a really good view
Layer upon layer it will become quite a sight
It’s bound to make somebody’s day both warm and bright
On to the fine detail you know you’re almost there
It’s time for everybody to have their own little share
Excited faces gather, candles are extinguished
Silent promises are made as are so many best wishes
Seems a shame to cut the cake but there’s so many to look after
And so it’s going down slice by slice, amid such joy and laughter
Every crumb devoured, every little mouth now replete
And another satisfied customer has made your day complete
